What I Create for Engagements
Engagement balloon decor covers two distinct moments: the proposal itself and the celebration that follows. A proposal setup is intimate, precise, and time-sensitive — it needs to be installed before the partner arrives and designed to feel personal, not generic. An engagement party is a larger-scale celebration with family and friends, closer in format to a styled event.
Proposal installations happen in spaces that vary widely — rooftops, living rooms, restaurant private rooms, hotel suites, backyards, and scenic outdoor locations across LA. Engagements are some of the most personal projects in my Los Angeles balloon installation work. Each setup is designed around the specific location, lighting conditions, and the couple's aesthetic. Engagement parties follow a more familiar event format: garlands, arches, backdrops, and photo areas designed for the venue.

Surprise Proposal Setup
A romantic balloon installation set up before the partner arrives. Typically a garland or arch framing the proposal spot — rooftop, living room, balcony, restaurant table, or outdoor scenic location. Candles, petals, and signage can be coordinated. Timing and logistics are planned with the proposer to ensure everything is ready for the moment.
At-Home Proposal
A styled setup in the couple's home or apartment — garlands over a bed frame, a balloon-framed hallway reveal, or a living room transformed with a backdrop and accent lighting. Designed to feel personal and intimate, working with the existing space rather than fighting it.
Engagement Party
A styled celebration after the proposal — closer in format to a standard event. Garlands, arches, backdrops with "She Said Yes" or the couple's names, and photo areas. Held at homes, backyards, restaurants, or event venues. Typically involves more installation elements than a proposal setup. Many couples continue with wedding balloon decor from the same designer — and eventually return for anniversary milestones down the road. Proposals at scenic spots — rooftops, overlooks, hotel terraces, and outdoor venues with views. Wind, sun exposure, access logistics, and setup timing all factor into material choices and anchoring. The installation needs to photograph well against the backdrop without competing with the view.
Restaurant & Hotel Setup
Private dining rooms, reserved tables, and hotel suites transformed with a balloon feature for the proposal or celebration. Coordination with the venue is handled in advance — access time, setup window, and teardown are planned around the restaurant or hotel's schedule.
